It is only a car, as long as your alright and no one was hurt you can recover fine.
I understand about the car never being the same, just get it fixed at a place that warranties the work for the life of your ownership. Or get rid of the car if it isn't totaled.

No matter what it always sux to be in an accident.
But think of it this way. Over the course of your life you're going to have unexpected pain and pleasures so you gotta roll with it.
In the end it's just a car so if you're alright then be thankful...
And if in some way there's a driving lesson to be learnt (caution etc.) then make sure u channel some of your anger towards THAT.

k, finally getting back to reality here...
been sick for the past few days and i have been on some medication, i guess it got me tired, on my way back from work i was dayzing off for a split second on the free way and when the highway split i was suposed to go right but i went down the middle right into a huge sign, both the wooden poles holding the sign made holes in my winshied and the glass got all over the place...
after i hit the sign i go in that ditch then all the sudden my car just swung out like spining, i dont know like it happened too fast my car went two lanes to the right up a hill then down a ditch..
as for me, luckly i left with not one scrath or bruise, i really dont know how,
but my car hot hit pretty hard...
the winshield is broken, driver door seems totally out of place, cai broke, it doesnt seem like any thing bad happened to the engine but will see what happens, i couldnt even pop the hood
i dont think the car is gonna get totaled but prolly around 5-10k in damage
i am gonna have it towed to the best collision in the state, i have heard many good things about this collision
my only fear is insurance going up and the car not running the same as it used too

That sucks. Glad to hear your o.k. As for insurance, if its your first accident, most places let it slide. When my brother totalled his car, his premiums didn't go up that much cause its his first accident and he had no tickets. As long as your fine, thats what counts, a car can always be replaced, even though as Mantis said, we sometimes get attatched.
Thats dick dude. I'm sure you'd be pissed if you messed up your car. And if you had the money to own a Ferrari, you really probably wouldn't care.

Your car will be fine. It may never be the same, but depending on the body shop, they can bring it damn close to it.
This was my car after $11k in damage. Hit head on with a barrier (which cost as much as the damage to the car to replace) at 60mph. Walked away without a scratch. And the car was still drivable. My car is back to normal now. This is why we pay so much for insurance, just in case something happens.

feel for ya on this one. good luck with everything, and dont worry about the car. they will fix it good as new, just take it to a good place. chances are you wont even notice a difference once its fixed!

I'd never wish something bad on somebody. You took it totally the wrong way everyone.
Reading something over a message board and hearing it coming out of someones mouth can be totally interpreted the wrong way in some cases.
