How many of you new CL(ers) thought you were in SS mode and shifted into neutral. You stomp on the gas, rpms goto 5k, and make alot of vtech noise.

Anyways, I did it yesterday for the first time in a long time.

 

lol, I do it all the time. Sometimes its dangerious on the freeway

 

good thing is the neutral rev limiter is around 5k rpms

 

Hehe. I do that WAAAY too much.

Also annoying is the delay from 2nd to 3rd. I HATE that. It's like there's a timer built in or something.

 

That's why I stick to SS. I hit neutral too many times. It can't be good having to pull it back into gear at freeway speed.

 

I have never done that, but I have went into D4 a couple of times, which gave me the needed effect as I was trying to pass.

.....Try cruising along on the expressway in SS for like 2 hours and forgetting your in it!! You sink the gas pedal and woops! 5th gear all the way baby, wondering were that rocket downshift went? Then it hits ya!

 

Worse is when you are trying to upshift in SS and are in a hurry. I did this and I don't know how but missed it and hit it over into neutral. WOW!! OOPS!!

 

Count me in as member of the FUBAR shift club! Was on city streets in SS mode. Got tired of it and switched to Auto mode. Got onto freeway and was accelerating briskly...forgot I was in Auto mode and shifted...hehehe, a supped up Integra next to me thought I was reving on him and downshifted for a race .
