front socket housing rattling

Hi, its been a long time since I have posted anything but now that I have a problem I'm back.

The little silver housing ring around the front power socket(the one next to the change tray) is loose and rattling like mad. I think it came loose last time I unplugged my GPS power adapter.

Does anyone know off the top of their heads if it can be fixed/tightened if I get behind there? I got nothin' from the Helms and I really don't want to take it apart if it isn't going to help. Last time I took the console apart wasn't so bad but I just don't want to do it again.

Thanks!

yeah it should screw and unscrew all the way out.....you would be able to see that from behind with the everything taken apart.

but if the dash is all connected, then put your finger in there and turn it from the inside (thats what i did) and if it comes all the way out, then t should be connected to a wire, for the cigaret lighter

please correct me if im wrong i havent been in a CL in a while
