Front seat interchangeability

Afternoon,
I'm usually just a lurker on here searching for my problems, but I can't find this answer. Does anyone know it the bottom leather portions of the front seats are interchangeable from the passenger side to the driver side? Over the years, my drivers seat bottom has taken a beating and I cant find any on Ebay or black market that are in my location (Central Florida). Any info you guys have would be awesome!

check the part numbers. I doubt they're the same since the controls would be on the wrong side. Check carpart.com for a junked CL in your area. Just remember type S seats are perforated leather and CL-P ones are not.

Well, I was thinking maybe one could "unring" the leather from the passenger side and use it on the driver side. I never had these seats out of the car, so I'm not sure what they look like underneath.

I figure I would post my question on a semi related topic rather than start a new thread.

But the CL seats are heated on both the bottom and back's of the seats correct?

I swapped them into my TL and I am only getting the bottom to heat and not the back part.

Plus the SRS light, but I feel thats another issue.

CL Driver's seat is butt and back, Passenger's is butt only. No clue why. Just like how the Passenger's windows isn't auto up and down >_<.

Hmmm I Guess I have to open up my driver's seat as the Back doesnt work.

I think I might use this link that I found from this thread that covered the same topic on the TL side.

It should be the same between the two.

But does anybody know how to access the back side, as apposed to the butt-tocks lol

wiring typically burns out in these cars. if you open up and look at the pads, the connecting wires are too small (and a fire hazard..). typical fix is to change to larger wire (i think i used 16awg)
