Front camber kit time.. Adjustable bjoints or entire arm?
Well I put my new coilovers on a few weeks ago and went to get the car aligned. the rears spec'd out (ingalls adj. rear arms) but the fronts are now showing -2 degrees.. which I need to do something about it. While the ingalls adjustable front upper control arms are nice, they're pricey, so I was looking at spc adjustable balljoints, but I realize might have to holesaw the shock tower to clearence either one. Input from people who have been there? Thanks

u get more clearance with the adjustable arms, thats the route i went...
and wickedtuning rear camber kit... u don't need the ingalls smart arms. but depending on how low u are u may need them to adjust the toe.. mine was off by a hair and was able to be adjusted without using them.

Ingalls. They make 2 spec versions, get the one that is -1.25 to +1, as opposed to the +1 to +4 model.
Slammed pretty low on front and with alignment at 0, I would hit and have clearance issues, but now I'm running at -1 in front and now clearance is fine. good luck.

Are you referring to clearance between tire/fender or upper control arm and strut tower? My alignment [attempt] came back -2 degrees in the front and im tucking tire pretty good. So if I got the 1.25 to +1 kit, an alignment could even it out to factory spec? I'm just seeking even tire wear at this point. And doesnt that kit run around $300 for both sides, that's really steep- i wish there was something cheaper out there. Also- got a link?
edit: are the first two n this link what you're referring to? Neither of them match the specs you speak of.. but I THINK you're referring to the first one on this page? http://www.ingallseng.com/mmy.php?ye...del=741&page=1

ingalls is the way to go. i got the 1-4 spec ones i believe and am running 2 fingers gap in the front.
i doo bottom out (arm hits the tower before I rub the wheel) if i hit a massive pot hole or something but that's a once a month or less thing. that's cause i got comfort sport coilovers which have a bit weaker springs than the SS coilovers. but ride quality is like stock on my car so i am in love with them all the way.
id rather bottom out on the shock tower than rub the wheel on the fenders tho any day.

For clearance, I meant tower. I aligned mine to zero, but hit on bumps. Then I aligned to -1 and now I don't hit. (Progression, this would solve yours too).
I'm running no tire gap in front. Some would argue that running slight negative camber improves handling. At -1, the tire wear should be negligible. Tire rotation should help too...unless you're running staggered wheels like me, then its a pain.

my spring rate is weak like i said. so over bumps it bottoms out on shock tower no matter what. its all good i have to make it bottom out basically. it doesn't happen unless i know it's about to happen lol...
i'm in love with my suspension. car looks like its newer, faster, and more expensive.
i get ppl all the time complimenting my car. young ppl, old people, and even grandpas !!

Sorry specs were off, but yes you want the ones that are -2 to +1.25.For clearance, I meant tower. I aligned mine to zero, but hit on bumps. Then I aligned to -1 and now I don't hit. (Progression, this would solve yours too).

not sure if this happened to others or not, I suspect it is due to how low the front is, but I had to get one edge shaved down very slightly on each front control arm, to eliminate some rubbing I was getting with the frame of the car. After installation, take a test drive before you're done at the shop to see if yours rub at all. Mine did, very slightly, but enough to hear it on bumps. I spoke to Ingalls, they seemed shocked and said it should clear fine...not really sure what to say as for why...I confirmed they sent the correct part #'s and spec version, so all I can guess is it's due to how low I'm dropped in the front
The shop shaved the edge of each control arm (see rash on control arm below) where there was slight evidence of rash and metal on metal rubbing. After the shaving and changing the alignment spec to -1, clearance was fine. Here's a pic of where to look for rash:
