Last night on the way home I decided to follow this GSP (Georgia State Patrol) as he was weaving thru traffic on a 4 lane surface street. When I pulled up next to him at the light I saw him looking at my car. Since we both had our windows down, I started ribbing him about his driving habits and he must be on his way to do duty on the I-85 repaving project. He says yeah, he is late, and hates that duty of sitting there with his blues on while they pave the road.

Then he says "Wanna Race?" I told him that entrapment was illegal with a big grin on my face, and he says "don't worry about it". So why not. I tell him only up to about 60 or 70 so we don't run over anyone . He agreed.

The light changes and I see him pull slightly ahead, but not for long. I feel the VTEC kick in and really start to leave him behind.
I hit 70 and backed off. He rolled up next to me and waved and had a big smile. I waved back, and he turned off to another road.

I figure that if we had to keep going he would start to pull on me because he has a Crown Vic with a decent V8. Those things really just keep pulling past 80. But, it was fun for a stoplight sprint!

Wow, that is cool. Where was this at?? The GSP I usually encounter are not nearly that friendly. Most are pulling me over somewhere on I75 between Atlanta and Chatanooga...
