Friend almost died.

I just heard about my friend that just got a brand new IS300 automatic. He has only had it for 6 days and yesterday he fell asleep at the wheel and went into a curb at 85 and flipped 3 times. I heard from my friend and I am shocked. Thank God that he is ok, I don't know what I would do if i lose a friend like this. Just want everyone to remember to be safe. Better safe than sorry.

I think he's fine, but I seriously thinks he should stop driving. He has had his license for less than a year and already 4 accidents.

That's absolutley horrible....I hope your friend is okay....I've had many near accidents.... I fall asleep almost every weekend coming home from the city....I have to literally fight myself to stay awake, blasting the radio/air condition/ opening windows / shifting my weight../etc....... It's really stupid driving home between 4-6am....

Sleeping at the wheel is so dangerous. A group of kids from the University of Florida were driving home to Miami in a Jeep. I knew the kids and the one driving fell asleep. Car hit the median flipped a few times and 2 kids died. The driver was alright and now is charged with Vechicular Manslaugter. He lost 2 friends and is now being charged. My best friends sister was in the car and did not die but has nightmares about it alot. Sucks alot.

Wow man, sorry to hear that. If he's a kid and he has four accidents - are more than one of those related to falling asleep at the wheel? Because that could be a sign of poor nutrition. If you don't eat right your body won't function well and you will find yourself nodding off a lot. Gotta be careful.

Glad he is alive, hope his insurance covers the loss.

Man that sucks. Pull over and have a small break if you're falling asleep. Or at the very least, drink some coffee.
