Fried a new T-bird today...

My second kill. There is a lot of M-Plate ones running around the neighborhood...The last one got cocky and yelled RICE BURNER...My first reaction was "I'd be jealous too if I was driving a UAW designed and built piece of trash"(that must hurt, there is a lot of Ford Dearborn engineers in the hood out here)...and smoked him again in a 0-70 sprint.
He turned...

The Cl is made in Ohio. It is probably made by United Auto Workers members as well.

I assume you have a stock CL Type-S and you raced a "new" T-Bird. Was it a V8 or the V6?
I owned, prior to my CL-S, a T-Bird Super Coupe, Super-Charged, and believe me you (or I) wouldn't smoke it to 70MPH. The T-Bird had 315 lb.ft. of torque at 2800 RPM.
My CL-S is great, but I wish it had my old T-Bird's off the line speed.

I also have a 1995 T-bird SC Pearl white with 3.73 gear, custom exhaust headers and a set of prototype SVT heads that never went into production (originally Ford had plans to do a 1997 SVT v-8 tbird.)
It runs a 5.3 sec 0-60 and 13.50's quarter
Yes you are very much correct indeed

Hey be kind to the new Birds, they are riding on the same model tire that stock CLS's come with. The width I think is a bit more.

I like the Bird's look both ext. and int. Remember the new Birds AND OURS are simply cruisers not dragsters. Bhp and Torque are very similar to ours and I think all of them come with a very nice sounding 8?

I had the same setup minus your exhaust and heads. MAN I MISS THAT CAR! If the supercharger hadn't went bad I'd still have it and kick my CLS's butt at will.

Yup. We do work in a lot of different automotive plants, and I can tell you that there is a big difference between UAW and all other union or non-union plants.
