Free front rotors, tranny cooler, and a ride in an NSX...

Went to the dealer for oil change, tire rotation, and complained to the service scheduler person (whatever they're called) about the shuddering while stopping (mentioned it was a TSB) and my tech friend hooked me up with new front rotors instead of just resurfacing the old ones. My brake pads are actually really good - he said I've got about 85-90% of the pad left (I am about to pass 30k miles).

While I was waiting for the work to get done, I chatted with my salesman and he offered me a ride in his NSX. How could I decline?

Man that car is pimp. Handling is amazing. He even offered to let me drive but I had to decline because I've never driven stick.

Also, I got my tranny cooler in the mail today and my tech friend is gonna flush the tranny fluid, install the cooler, and replace my A/C filters sometime next week. Between the service today and the service next week I consider my 30k miles service completed.

Anyway, here's some pics since you suffered through all my babbling:

He only got on it once for a quick gear and even then just a little into VTEC because the oil should be warmed up before you get on any car. It sounded great though. Nice throaty VTEC roar.
But mostly just went fast in the twisties. AMAZING handling.

mantis - that was like sticking a pic of some grandma after pics of some hot chick, huh? Instant emotion killer.

JROCK:

Good for you!

I envy your ride in the NSX!

I gotta take you up on your offer and get introduced to your "tech friend". I need a tranny cooler installed, plus get the tranny fluid and filter changed.

BTW:Those pics are just blocks from my house!

The NSX is AWESOME.

I’ve had the opportunity to drive them on TWO separate occasions in the past and almost bought a used 1992 model once.
I passed after looking into what the maintenance costs would be.
