Some of what you are saying is true and some just plain Bull Shitt,man....

Well getting scared in the middle of a gun battle is true and fact of life. A lot people who own guns, do not even have the courage or even the adequate trainnig to use their sidearm is also true.

But you tell me, 3 "well-placed" shots of 0.45 or 0.40 or even HP 9mm does not get a thug down quick ... that is pure Bull Shitt... and nonesense.

Go to your local PD and ask the supervisor or the chief how many shots are "needed" to stop an aggressor and you will get your answer...

Cops get scared too and this why some lose control and fire instinctly some 10-15 rds in 3-5 secs.
That is instinct and adrenaline rush! not a professionalism. Oh, read this http://dailynews.yahoo.com/h/ap/2001...er_shot_3.html and you know what I mean...

I am out....
</font>
If you can get those "well placed" shots within close range during a bout of road rage, I guess you'll win the fight, you are right.

Chances are this perfect situation will never happen for you, not in this lifetime. I can see it now. 9mm armed driver #1 fu*cks with unarmed driver #2 and road rage starts, they have an accident that brings their vehicles to a [temporary] stop. #1 reaches for his weapon only to find that not only can he not even see his target's body in the stopped car about 15 feet away but also what little he can see, he can't even get a clear shot because #2 isn't just standing around waiting to get hit (he's moving his head too fast). But #1 exits his vehicle firing off 5 shots anyway; quickly. Not a single bullet (stiking the door frame and side glass) enters the vehicle; not this time.

"Somehow I don't know how it happened" says an eyewitness "but #2 pressed on the accelerator and stuck #1 as he was exiting his car, hitting the door and driver's compartment straight on with the 8 cyl. 1986 Caddilac engine."

You flip someone the bird and within 2-3 minutes, you're talking to [fill in here: God, your Maker, whatever you believe in].

How sad. Leave the gun at home, don't let no damn handgun give you false confidence and let you down, all in the same incident.

ok, yeah, despite my earlier comment about not being able to afford a gun. that wasn't saying that you should buy one. i totally agree with rayray, that your head is the best and usually the only weapon you'll need. sometimes a little self control or patience is all you need to avoid any confrontations with other motorists.

First off, How do you know he had a gun? Did you see a gun? I think if he had intention to grab a gun you would have known it!

Second off, you screwed up by not letting him pass you. You had no idea what kind of business he was trying to get done. Maybe he was in a hurry and wanted to pass you and you took it the wrong way. You should have let him go by you. Now, if he Technically CUT YOU OFF by running you out of your lane, then that's a diff story, but if he CUT INFRONT of you, no big deal!

Third off, You told him to DIE MOFO? That was not to bright.

I am not tryin to flame ya, just educate ya on your mishap

I had a simular problem once, however I ended it QUICK by pulling my UNLOADED .22 out of my glove and showed him the piece, at which the "wanna be loonie" pull off my ass and let me go I would have been willing to fight him, but it was not just a him, it was a group of guys.

I doubt he was going for a gun, Ill bet he was trying to make you think he was going for a gun Now a days, people are crazy, BUT people will not risk their LIFE IN PRISON over stupid traffic, except a SMALL 1% of seriously deranged typical people.

</font>

Jayru, I'm not trying to tell you how to live your life or anything. I'm not an expert in any way, nor am I perfect, just a commoner trying to use some common sense...and I have no right to criticize you because I wasnt a witness and in the heat of the moment, all sorts of shit can break out. But I want to give my thoughts on what you just said about "educating" and "pulling out an unloaded .22"

Are you sure thats real *smart*?
Thats 100 times worse than giving someone the bird or a verbal exchange..

If i'm wrong, plz correct me but when someone brandishes a weapon, no matter loaded or unloaded, its an instant criminal offense if you get caught (maybe this is only for Calif.)

I don't condone the bird or "die mofo" either. Giving someone a funny look, thats something new
I've had an SUV guy clap at me hahaha.

IMHO, just walk away...let them by and you'll
never see em again (99.9% of the time hopefully)
but I'm sure in certain circumstances shit happens and we don't think straight..

On the lighter side of this matter..
Yea a club works well as a crowb., imagine someone flashing that while driving HAHA
I'd be like wtf is up with that?

Rurofan, glad that you're ok bud. Try to have a few laughs and you'll be ok. Like posting this topic was good for ya in purging emotions

Y'all take care now.

Goodnight Princes/Princesses of Premiums, Kings/Queens of Type S...

hehe luv that movie Cider house rules!

Nah, After re-reading what I said, Maybe it is not smart, But, I still think the SMARTEST Move would have been to let the dumb ass by and take it with a grain of salt. I am SURE that this dumb ass driver did not totally cut him off to the point of where he would have gotten CREAMED. Maybe I'm wrong, but still. Best thing is to let him go by!

I love it when people get mad and follow me (just not a redneck with a gun), I enjoy combining my skillful driving tactics, and 260hp, they just can't keep up.

Actually Bodi, I was on the 60 south transition to the 5...
the person looked like an old randy johnson (the baseball pitcher) driving a blue large GMC with shell (not suv hehe) and a dinky but popular propeller thingie at his rear end.

I normally don't chime in on these types of topics but I had to add one thing. many in the South already know this but the town where my office is located and near where I live. The passed a law in the 80's dictating that everyone who lives there HAS TO OWN A GUN. One gun per household minimum.

Of course they don't do home to home checks. I think it is more advertising than anything. But one thing can be said, the crime rate is low considering the proximity to Atlanta...

you know... something similar happened to me too... but it was my friend that actually had shit with some gangsters... and they ended up firing 2 shots at my car... one actually hit my car at the A-pillar and the other bounced off the windshield (amazing, huh?) my car was only 2 weeks old at the time too... very sad. just watch your ass and be careful who you piss off on the road because there's a lotta crazy motherfuckers out there!

There is a long standing debate over the 9mm vs. 45 vs. 40 S&W. To me they're all the same: pretty worthless.

9mm has the cheap ammo
45 has the mass
40 has everything else

None of them can easily stop a fleeing CL-S suspect.

I agree with the above point, and I hope none of us have to find out about the other point. Just smile, wave, and live to race another day.

True but when I say .45 I mean like the magnum or something but I guess I forget there is a .45 glock.
