FRAUDED! VAV6 sold me used shocks instead of new ones! [Help]

according to his post (VAV6), they were supposed to be BRAND NEW!

http://www.v6accord.com/forums/showt...highlight=vav6

i have taken many pictures on my digital camera, but have do not have the necessary wires to upload them at this moment.

the packaging is horrible, scuffed up as much as the shocks themselves. some of the pieces are obviously worn from wear and tear, one is even broken! packaging is worn, torn and open, if you could only imagine!

I will post pictures as soon as I get to my apartment, on sunday.

Some intitial things I am considering are:

1) request a full refund! if not accepted then:
2) complaint with the Internet Fraud Complaint Center, the National White Collar Crime Center, as well as the FBI to further persue this matter.
3) collecting signatures from various shops to further indicate these shocks and its accessories you have sold to me are indeed used and not BRAND NEW.
4) documention including email indicating to the events that these shocks were "BRAND NEW" and are not.

His address is:
XXXXXXXXX
XXXXXXXXX
XXXXXXXXX

XXXXXXXXX

what further things could I persue? Suggestions needed.

Did you try contacting him about it? Via pm or email or better yet, both? He seems like a pretty nice guy and he showed pics of the konis on the second page.

Buyer beware. It's still true, if the price sounds to good to be legit it probably isn't. Night Hawk, did you receive the money order before or after you shipped strut bar?

Sorry didn't answer my question yet. Did you try contacting him yet? If not, I would edit out his info because all that is going to get you is some disgruntled acl member calling him and harassing him. That will just make your money even harder to get back.

I have contacted him and he will refund my money as a cashiers check including shipping totaling ($514.49), fed ex second day on Tuesday, so my check should be in on Friday or Monday.

He is a pretty understanding guy.

It just seems pretty weird - we were talking about the condition of everything, and WHY the boxes are in the condition they are in we do not know; WHY some pieces are missing and broken we do not know; WHY some packaging are torn apart we do not know.

We can conclude USPS definately has opened the package and checked things, as it has been opened by them, leading to the poor condition of the packaging and the materials. As a seller, he will file a claims with them to be reimbursed for the damaged goods.

Once I have received the check I will mail everything back and all should be good.

Andreas is a good guy and I can't imagine him selling products like this, the USPS could be a main factor in the products poor condition.

Oh well, just keeping you guys updated. I also removed his address and number for the time being.

see, just have to try contacting the sellers before jumping to conclusions. I know that many have been frauded in the past, but if you read the other posts and such that he has made on that board, he seemed like a good guy..that's why i kept asking if you already contacted him. Good luck with the return, hope everything works out.

Did you call the FBI back and tell them never mind?

Hehe, we are all glad you're getting your money back...but I doubt the Post Office tore up all your stuff.

USPS and UPS SUCKS!!! They never do anything except give me grief. I'll pay the extra cash to use Fed-ex, they do things right the first time.

I even filed to use insurance (you know you pay extra for it) with UPS on items I mailed that they broke and those bastards tried to deny it, after a nice long talk with a manager I finally got it...3 months later, slow bastards.

Whatta bunch of crap! USPS doesn't open pkgs and substantially alter the item being shipped so it looks nothing like original! He just found a great way to save face and it looks like you bought it.

UPS opened the package then installed the shocks on a big brown truck then drove around and then put them back in the package and then delivered them to you. Let us know when the cashiers check clears your bank. I would not return anything until the check clears the bank.

If you're going to accuse someone of a felony use the right word: "FRAUDED" is not a word. You meant "DEFRAUDED"
