Frame damage
I need some advice. My car was in an accident a while back and the insurance company decided to repair it. The insurance estimate was $9k in damage.
Well yesterday the repair shop callled me to let me know whats going on. After taking the car apart, he said there is frame damage and he wants to replace the frame with a used front frame/clip. He said this way the car would have factory welds so it would be stronger then if they did the frame work themselves.
My question is isn't their something wrong here? Its like putting to wrecked cars together. The insurance company didn't know that there was frame damage is it possible that they would total the car now?
