FP Gauge Reading

Quick little problem I have that I need help with. I drove the car for the first time at night and I noticed that my FP gauge was not lit up with the other gauge and also did not read any fuel pressure. However When I turn the lights off it starts working again.. What might it be? something simple like a wire not connected in the back?
Thanks-

My guess is that the light and sensor wires might be reversed or you have a bad ground. I'd check the wiring to be sure it's correct.

i just went to check the lights again and I forgot to mention that the boost gauge light was also not on. However it still works because it is a mechanical gauge. It makes sense now. Obviously they messed up in they reversed the wires. Also where would the ground be for the gauges? and why would my electrical FP gauge work when my headlights are off? hmm.

You probably have Autometer gauges I'm assuming? My Fuel Pressure Gauge crapped out as well twice already.

I had a problem with the sensors getting fucked up. I went through 2 replacements before I took the blower off.

Clearly the power wire isn't connected to the correct source. It should be connected to a constant power supply such as the fuse panel beneath the driver side dash facing inward:

For a ground I just removed some of the paint on the A-Pillar, drilled a hole, and installed a screw for my ground.
