Found a problem with my Valentine 1.....
It doesn't seem to work well when the music is up and the windows are down. Darn 'brap! brap!' isn't loud enough! I passed a cop on a road by my house doing 80 in a 55 and didn't hear nothing until I looked down at the display and saw the thing going crazy. Luckily, he didn't turn around and ticket my ass. See, there are nice cops around here

He was probably sleeping. A lot of cops do that where I Am from they will pull into the median and sleep. I have always wanted to go up and knock on the window to wake them up. Or sometimes they will be doing paper work.

Mine is mounted alongside my rearview mirror which is pretty close to my ears.
Even with the tunes cranked and the Subs pumping I can usually hear the V1 alarm.
I don’t even keep the V1 volume all the way up. It is usually set at about 2-3 o’clock or so.
If you REALLY need it louder, Valentine sells an outboard audio device that could probably be hooked into your audio system somehow.
I think it's like 40 bucks.
Details are on the website.
