Found a loose ground wire... how bad??

I was trying to install my icebox today (low and behold they sent me 12 inches of each of the tubing, needless to say i did not install the icebox) when I noticed a ground wire COMPLETELY broken off. This is NOT one of the main wires. When I pulled off the intake tube, directly below it is a ground wire on a top bracket that connects about 3 or 4 inches to the chassis. The wire itself broke out of the connector and was clearly disconnected. I went and bought a cheapo ground wire for the time being just to reground it. It looks like it was grounded to a part of the tranny. Anyone have any idea?? How bad could it be? I didn't notice a damn thing, possible smoother acceleration but thats probably my head.

Same thing happened to me. After I got my oil jet installed, I noticed the same ground wire broken off. I took back to the dealer the same day and they said it was like that when I brought it in. Rather than making a fuss about it I just left and fixed it myself. It was nice of them to not metion it to me.

the ground wire look like it just broke, rusted and snapped, i started looking at my other grounds, i eyed the main ground off the battery and i see strands of copper fraying... looks like im gonna have to go with a DIY grounding kit.
