Found a few 2003 CL's in my price range
Well, found a few good deals on ebay. Currently, I'm the highest bidder on this one, although I has not reached the reserve price. It's an '03 Type S WITH NAVI:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=260041593891
My highest bid is 15k, but I'm willing to go up to 16.5k if the auction ends/reserve not met, and I'm the highest bidder.
Here is auction #2 for a white CLS, Really low miles, the reserve is actually 16.5k... I'll see where it goes, I may consider purchasing this if he will sell it @ 16k.... But my first choice is still the one I posted above.

What do you guys think?

Stay away from the Autotragic. Get the 3rd pedal. You'll be glad you did.

I need auto for my wife. My 350z is manual, one of my cars needs to be auto. I'm willing to take a chance with the 7 year/100k warranty.

Thanks for the tip..... Kentucky would be an easier drive though if I picked that up!

I'd be careful going the unseen ebay route. In my recent purchase process, what others described in "beautiful condition" or a "9 out of 10" turned out to be pieces of crap when I showed up to test drive them. Maybe I'm pickier than most, but you don't want to get it and find out there are things wrong that make you unhappy with it. In fact, the one I bought has more cosmetic issues than I would have liked, but compared to ALL the others I saw, it was by far the best. Here's a Chicagoland 6spd if you're interested in teaching the wife to drive a stick: Clickity click...

I would never buy a car from e-bay...I got my 02 CL type S with 41K on it for far less than what you are going to pay....

Here's a few more I found, LOW miles, but CL-P's. What do ya'll think are "fair" bids especially since some of you get your used CL's at great prices.

I found my CL on e-bay, but was close enough to test drive it.
If I were you, I'd definately go for a Type S with Navi even if it means you take a bit longer to find one and it costs a couple bucks more. Just my opinion.

I thought I recognized your user name when I was lurking ebay. Take your time as these vehicles show up often and that is to your advantage. I stick with a CLS as opposed to a CLP...
I buy vintage stereo equipment off ebay (Sansui) and its a huge risk UNLESS you do your home work prior to pressing the button....

Okay guys, need some last minute feedback, just offered the guy 16k for the 2003 with Navi! They lowered the reserve to $16,900. I can probably pick it up for $16.5 if they dont bite on my $16k offer I gave them over the phone. The most I'll pay is MAYBE 17k. The sales guy is sopposed to call me back in the next few minutes!! :help:
Here is the car again:

Someone correct my if I'm wrong here but it's possible that the '03 tranny depending on it's build date is tranny pooping immune.
Have you tried searching the B/M for one here?

For the MILEAGE, navi, and condition.... I havent seen anything go for that price. Most go for $18-22k with the mileage as advertised. 16.5k would be a steal imho (edit, not steal, but good deal. )

What's the rush ?? Do you really need a car RIGHT NOW ??
If you stretch your search out longer then a week, you might find a decent, affordable one closer to home
The 03's for 18-22K don't sell so fast, but the 03's < 17 move pretty quickly (regardless of mileage)...

Got a few offers on my Civic, that's why I'm kinda rushed... but at the same time, civics seem to sell well, so I may as well take my time

There were only 3511 6spds made but over 16,000 2003 CL's made... so your odds of finding one in a color you like are ALOT better then those that are looking for say, a navi 6spd...

Here is one I found, sems like a good deal for 17.9k. I think I may offer 17k OTD. Fair? Should I start negotiating lower?

Yeah, start lower... 18K is probably not bad, but 17K would be better... Offer 16.5 and see what they say, you can always raise your offer but you can't lower it
