Formula 1 tint??????
anybody have formula1 tint, or ever heard of it? I hear it's supposed to be the best quality tint or something. I'm looking to get my car tinted with this next week through an acquaintance. Any idea on how much it should cost? I hear around 250 since the quality is so good. Also, does anybody know anything about the tint and the nature of it?

My local installer uses Formula 1 metallic tint and Llumar non-metallic. You pay more for metallic, but it can interfere with your radar detector, if you have one. I went with the non-metallic Llumar. Still not made with dyes, still high quality, still looks good (IMO), but it only cost me about $150. I forget exactly how much I paid, but I know I've posted it here somewhere before.

As soon as the search is fixed here, you'll be able to find tons of information on tint and the CL.

Don’t use Metallic if you have a REAR sensing Radar detector like the V1 or Escort 8500.
Metallic tint also reduces the reception of the NAVI antennae if your car is so equipped since it’s under the rear parcel shelf and “looks” up through the back window.
All brands are different, but they all effect the above to a certain degree.
