Forged Rims...

Does anyone know of rims that look good on the CL-S preferably forged in either 18 or 19 inch if they are forged? If so, post pics please. Thanks in advance.

I just ordered Volk TE37s in 18s and obviously i love the look. They are forged, and extremely light. I can't post photos, but there is a thread i started to get info from others titled "input on 18s " about 6 pages back, and there are some great photos of the wheel from STS i think. Also the SSR Comps look great and i believe they are forged.

There are definately pleanty of quality forged rims out there that would look good on the CL-S. It all depends on who much you want to dish out.

Also, think about what kind of look you want:

Sporty or Bling Bling

all BBS rims are forged...forged rims are good as they are stronger than cast as cast might have very tiny bubble during the process of making..and forged rims can be very large size such as 19" or 20" and can be one piece to three pieces.and of course ..very costly too...

With the exception of the LM model, all the other BBS rims I have seen are of cast construction and not forged.

I'm not too worried about price, it's more about the strength along with the looks that I want. I was looking at the racing Hart Evolution Z5000's, M5's, and the S7's. Those rims aren't forged but if I get them in 18's I think I should be fine. The forged rims that I am looking at are the SSR Comps, GT1's, and the GT3's. If I get forged rims, I will either get 18's or 19's... Any other suggestions...?

Just letting you guys know....the superleggeras and most bbs wheels are not forged. the superleggera III, which aren't out yet, will be their only forged wheel. They are all casted wheels. The BBS only has a few forged models, and the rest are spun or casted.

Hey bobowah,

Do you have a website with pix of your car? I am looking to get the Superleggeras, and was wondering what they would look like on the CL-S. I'm also planning to get the Comptech springs, have you heard from anyone whether or not the size of wheel you're rolling on has rubbing problems with these springs?

Thanks!
Dave

SL III

One of the people at OZ Wheels emailed me to let me know that they'll be releasing Superleggera IIIs that fit the CL-S in about 3 months...
