Fog Lights Keeping Burning Out!!

I have the 3A Racing Hyperwhites for fog lights and they keep burning out within 3-4 months. I hate replacing them too, a real pain in the neck to replace if you assk me.

What kind of fog light bulbs can I get that will almost match my low beams and last longer than these? How much? Thanks.

Depends on which you can find. Some import parts places have them. Here in NJ, whoever sells wheels etc sells 'em.

Now the polargs sound the same as the ones I've been getting...3 months for cheap. But actually worse since they may burn the housing. Do the PIAA's do the same?? I want a bulb that matches the HID without burning the housing and that will last a long time. More opinions please!!

OK, there is NO bulb that fits in the stock housing that does NOT burn the housing that 100% matches the stock HID's...PERIOD...now, the CLOSEST yer gonna get is either the M6 or PIAA 19224...reference my Fotki page for pics so u can see for yerselves how the PIAA 19224's compare...Chod and i did a comparo between the M6 and PIAA 19224, and there is NO DIFFERENCE between the 2

the ONLY way yer gonna match the stock HID's is if u retrofit the housings with a HID kit

fuk it, here r pics:

stock v. 19224:

I don't care what anyone tells you...... the housings come "burnt" from Acura. I bought a brand new one from Acura and it was "burnt" right out of the box. The one I replaced had less "burning" than the new one. Since it is on the top of the housing and not seen unless you stand on your head, Acura did not attempt to get an even finish all the way around the inside. I have brought this up many times and no one will agree with me but........ :pfawk:

So then maybe I should not worry about the housing. What is the best price for the PIAAs? Same wattage as stock bulbs?

What would these 80W bulbs do to the housing?

http://www.tuneshops.com/order-Light...kya-1-4656.htm

What is the recommended wattage...55W? How can you use these? What does arctic purple look like?

Now I found a website with polarg bulbs, but the price is a lot more than what others have been suggesting, and they are not M6's? Are we all talking about the same bulbs here: the 9006 bulbs for fog lights?

Check it out:http://www.coolbulbs.com/polarg.asp

STOP STOP STOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok, the stock bulbs for the ROAD LAMPS r 5watts...the PIAA 19224 and M6 r 18watts...road lamps are NOT fog lights, so ferget 55watts, 80 watts, etc.

the socket connectors on the 9006 bulbs are NOT the same as the road lamps...like i said, u would need to retrofit a kit inside the housing if u want something more powerful than the 18watt bulbs to look closer to the stock HID's

ferget about ANY OTHER BULB for the road lamps except for the PIAA 19224 and Polarg M6...if u find a bulb that's LESS than 18 watts, it's not gonna b as bright as these 2 bulbs, mkay??? not even LED's r brighter...believe me, i've tried...right now, there's NOTHING else out there that's an inexpensive alternative to the stock road lamps

This chart says that the fog lights are 9006 which are not 19224.
http://www.acura-tl.com/faq.htm#15TL02
I'm not sure what 19224 bulbs are for, but I'm talking about fog lights. What are good fog light replacement bulbs?? Sorry if there was confusion.

Ha ha.... reminds me of an ol' joke..... who put the straw in strawberries, who put the fawk in blueberries. There ain't no fawk in blue berries!

That's what I have been trying to tell you..... there ain't no fawkin fog lights. We have beat this topic to death over the years and if you search all my posts going back to 2001, I raised that as one of my primary gripes about this car. No real fogs. Also no handbrake, etc....... good luck finding a fog that fits and looks good.

So what are the 19224 bulbs for? I've replaced my "roadlamps" before, with 9006 bulbs, and was just asking what 9006 bulbs are the best?? I know they fit. But are PIAA Super Plasma Bulbs the best at 5000K, or are Polarg VIP White or Purple the best? Does anyone have these? How about Raybrig? Nokya? Super whites, Xtreme Whites, Euro Whites, MIracle Whites and on, and on, and on... What is the popular light bulb replacement for the 9006 %^&*lights??

19224's r for the ROAD LAMPS

since we don't have fogs, and since about 90% - 95% do NOT convert the road lamps into fogs, my best suggestion to u would b to go to the TL forums and ask them since fogs r standard equipment
