Fog light troubles
Has anyone else been having troubles with their fog lights? My passengerside fog went out about two weeks ago. Acura Carland replaced it free under warranty (kick ass!) and a week later, my passenger light is out. Wonderful.
Has this happend to anyone else?

dont bother wasting your time at the dealership. just get the PIAAs...they are much brighter than the factory bulbs and only cost about $15 for the pair. install in minutes.

are you touching the bulbs with your bare hands?
the oils from your finger tips will drastically shorten the life of the bulbs.... regardless if you just washed your hands or not.

I thought I'd put the link here..
this is a great friend of mine that owns the place. (many on Honda-Tech are very happy with this site).
it's a decent price too.

I like the PIAA when they are lit up alot.. i wish they weren't so blue when off.

I actually have never touched them. Car is still bone stock. I took it to Acura, and expecting to have to buy the bulb and replace it myself, they replaced the first one free under warranty. So I thought that was pretty cool.

Are these basically turn signal bulbs? They look pretty small, so that's what I was thinking. Anybody heard anything about the PIAA Extreme white "Balast-less HID" bulbs? My friend has some in his GS300, they're pretty schweet. Would those be a good alternative to the stock high-beam bulbs?

OK...i have done some personal research on the PIAA driving/fog bulbs.
i originally had the horrible, dull stock bulbs that HAD to be replaced.
a guy at a local rim shop with a CL recommended PIAA 19173 (12v 5w) and they fit perfectly...no melting. well, one blew out so i did some research on this site. EVERYONE recommends the PIAA 19224 (12v 18w)...so i bought them, but havent installed them yet. everyone says dremel/sanding is needed to install the 19224s. however, the 19173 were the exact size as the factory ones.
i'm not sure if these 19224s will cause melting (they are higher wattage and dont fit perfectly).
i might just buy the 19173 to be on the safe side...and not have to dremel/sand anything.

i have the 19224, only had them a week or so.. no melting yet.. that's good...
they fit in without force.. I dunno why people have to "make them fit" I have an 01.. incase that makes any kind of difference.
P.S. the box the bulbs came in has lots of Jap. writing on it, my car's definitly faster now! (jk)

guys/gals...thanks for all the info and suggestions.
i have had these 19224s for about 3 weeks now, hesitant to install because of melting or imperfect fit.
thanks again!!!
