Fog Light Switch?
I want to add fog lights to my '03 CLS 6spd. I have copied the excellent DIY from the FAQ, but there are no detailed instructions on installing the TL switch next to the moon roof switch.
Can someone provide, or send me to location for installation instructions. Wiring diagram would also be helpfull.

Shouldn't be that hard to wire up. All rocker switches have power in and power out connections.
Basically, you need power/ground (battery terminal/grounding point), these wires run to the "power in." The "power out" wires run straight to the running lights/fog lights (which ever you have).
You can run parallel OR series connections.
-Parallel, you have two sets of "power out" wires.
-Series, you have one set of "power out" wires that connect to one light and "jumps" to the next light.
Since the factory lights don't draw that much power you can do either or.
Here's basic wiring diagrams, rocker switch is listed. http://www.1728.com/project2.htm
Just think, series wiring in homes is where you have one rocker switch controlling x to y amount of light bulbs/(and/or)outlets.
If I'm wrong, anybody can jump in...

Thanks, I understand the wiring....using a relay to turn fogs on and off from the '03 TL dash switch....
Let me clarify.....Using the instructions from the DIY...will the fog lights go OFF when high beams are turned off?

Only if you wire them up like the TLs are wired. If you are install aftermarket foglights and you want them on regardless if the headlights are on, just wire them up with a seperate harness. Just tap directly to the battery and run the needed fuses/relays and you should be golden.
Unless, of course, you want them to turn off when the high beams are on.

Yes, I want to be able to turn them on when the low beams are on, and I want them to go off (automatically) when the high beams come on.
I understand this is how the TLs are wired......BUT...Where is the TL wiring information?

I'll try again:
I have an '03 CLS6.
I want fog lights...the DIY uses '02CL lights...but does not indicate any dash switching of the fogs.
I would like to use the OEM type dash switch.
I want the fogs to be operable ONLY when the low beams are on, and automatically go off when the high beams are turned on.
SO.............
How would the wiring run and where are the connections made to accomplish this?
Are there any additional parts (other than the dash switch) to purchase for the DIY?

Again what fog light are you using? The 01-02 road lamps, or aftermarket?
Your going to have to wire this yourself. There's no plug in harness or plug & play device.
You will need..
ground
+12V
+12V switched
You can use a relay or direct wire to the battery. For the switched power you can tap into the marker light. This is how I did mine. But I'm using PIAA lights.
The TL switch has 5 pins, only 3 are needed unless you want the switch to light up like stock. You will need a test light or volt meter to figure out which pins you can use.
From what I have, may or may not be correct, it's been a while.
Pin 1 = ground
Pin 2 = common
Pin 3 = 12v
Pin 4 = 12v switched
Pin 5 = ground
And remember the 01-02 road lamps do not have a switch stock. So that is why these have to be wired.

The DIY indicates "fog light unit (R) Acura 2002 CLS, P/N 33901-S3M-A02" and matching "fog light unit (L) Acura 2002 CLS, P/N 33951-S3M-A02".
What I'm trying to determine is the connection point for power to the fog lamps that allows them to be ON only with the low beams AND automatically turns them OFF when the high beams are turned on (low beams stay on).

I have the TL fog light switch modified with the PIAA harness attached already, anyone interested in just buying off me? I can dig it up and show you how I wired it for future reference. It worked like a charm, the only thing I didn't get to work was the little light on the switch to dim with the interior lights.

I dont know exactly how to wire it in to turn them off when the highbeams turn on, but you'd have to use a relay and tap into both the lowbean and the highbeam wiring.
