Floor mat pegs

I was vac'g the ride the other day and found
out that if you remove the mats
without retracting the seat enough, the little peg that holds the mat in place
just under the seat will become dislodged from the hole in the floor . Some funny shit! Just be easy on umm....

BTW, they are easy to fix incase
you pull one! Remove the screw, squeeze the gromet stright, fill up with silicone caulk, insert the gromet and install the screw. So far so good here.

I have had the thing fixed like 5 times and it keeps coming out. I eventually just took it out and its somewhere in my toolbox. I will try it again with the silicone and see what happens.

Yeah, that thing is a piece of shit and has been falling out since I got the car. I'm going to stick a metal screw with a butterfly nut in there to hold it in place.

What cheesy construction--they hope that a little piece of plastic is going to hold a floor mat in place during the constant abuse it takes from you getting into and out of your car!!!!!
