Flex Pipe question

So i'm reading this thread (https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=50699 ) and I'm wondering this...

What is the point of "flexing the flex pipe by hand"?

Is this someting I should do to loosen it up before I install my headers?

Ok, guys (and girls), 23 views and no response...

Someone has to know SOMETHING about this.

It doesn't make much sense to me but why was it mentioned in that thread 3 or 4 years ago?

Come on guys, I'm setting up shop to do the install right now...

no need to flex it, it is made to flex because of engine movements. Did you get comptech headers?

Cool, thanks.

No, I went the same rout fuzzy did and bought cheapo's, made by XS Power.

And before anyone flames me for doing so... They were only $150 bucks so if they suck or I have problems, I didn't lose much by doing this. No biggie.

one of the first few batches from comptech had a resonance issue that could be lessoned if not reloved by flexing the flex section of the header prior to or during install...some new knock offs may well benefit from the same
