fix for loose steering?

is it just me or has the steering (specifically the steering wheel) get really loose over time? I remember when i first got the car, the steering was stiff. But now, the steering wheel is very loose. Is this common? Is there a fix for this?

That's what I'm saying. I thought it was just my imagination, but I now believe that it is getting looser. I was also wondering if there is a fix for it. How many miles on your car? I've got almost 29,000.

My old Integra used to do that. I would just mention it to the dealer and they'd tighten it up for me. Haven't noticed it with the CL yet. I'm sure someone here would know how to fix that. I think it's pretty common across many car types.

For what it's worth?

At my 30,000 mile service I complained of a noise when turning the steering wheel, comming from between the steering wheel and steering column. I still have that noise, BUT, they did find a bad tie rod in the front suspension, and the steering does feel tight like new again.

I have the same problem and I am only at 17000. I keep getting alignments done to fix the stupid problem. (Thank GOD they are free! ***for me atleast ) Sometimes if you check your tire pressure, that maybe the problem.

Swaybars and coilovers fixed all my steering looseness issues (although I didn't have any, it still is ten-fold tighter now).
