LSD + front heavy fwd car + skinny 15" winter wheels = easy winter driving.
Sure the're ugly, sure they're loud, sure ok they're REALLY ugly. But I rest easy knowing my 19's are sitting in my basement still looking good, and these cheapo tires ($60/piece) are gonna last prob 4-5 seasons.
Oh, and my CL-S is my winter "beater", as my Cobra prob wouldnt even make it out of my sub in one piece, even on dry cold pavement. Something about a locking differential & drag radials that doesnt mix well with winter in Michigan.

Wide tires, an engine with a buttload of low end torque, Low gearing for fast accelleration, plus the fact that MOST people over drive their cars for the conditions = perception that our cars handle poorly.
I live in a state where snow is a fact of life and I find that car brakes exceptionally well on slippery surfaces and does very well at the accelleration on slippery surfaces as well and my car has Arizonian tires on the front and hannock tires on the rear.....
