First race after turbo is on...
Well... I was running to Pep Boys to get a short 9/16" wrench and this mini cooper "S" that is lowered and has an exhaust was buzzing around me.
It's the Supercharged version... like 165hp in an approx. 2500lbs car, so its pretty quick.
Anyways... he floors it all of a sudden and I just punch it in 2nd. My tires start spinning as I pass him and I shift into 3rd *psffft* -
then I pull about 10 cars on him
He was VERY surprised!!

It doesn't spin shifting 2nd to 3rd unless I shift hard... it just starts spinning in 2nd by itself! If I shifted hard from 1st to 2nd, it would never stop spinning... its running pretty well, but still need to get it dynoed!

All motor, maybe we all can head down to Carlsbad in the next 2 months, be fun to see the looks it gets after the first pass ! : )
Do you also run at tracks? there is an Audi Drivers School at Pahrump Nevada, would be nice to see it run there too. open to all cars. 1 on 1 instruction , its a good time. March 8&9th.

I don't have a digital camcorder or a camera that can take mpeg's, but maybe at the meet.
I don't want to just spend the meet taking people for spins as I don't really want to floor the car around all day - it's only been a week since its been done and I still have to take it somewhat easy.
I wouldn't mind taking it to Carlsbad later on... after I dyno it. It looks stock, so its not going to turn any heads. Plus if it just spins, it won't run that quick to begin with. I'd be very embarrassed if it doesn't hit 12's.
I ran a few times (NA) at Carlsbad, it isn't that great to begin with, except that its sea-level and you don't have any altitude effects, but we'll see.

Wow, that looks like an A1 install!!!! Like you said, Carlsbad is only good because it is at sea level, but everything else sucks. I know at LACR you have elevation. Famosa in Bakersfield is opening up later this month after major construction and a fresh track. Its only 600ft elevation and is supposed to be quite the professional outfit. I'm heading up there on the 22nd with a bunch of GTP guys, it'd be great to see your CLS run.
PS, most people don't know CLS' are fast to begin with, and then you had to go and do this??? I think people will seriously need an underwear change after running you.
