Hello,

Yesterday I was pulling out of blockbuster onto Route 56 in Danada Square (Wheaton, Illinois).

There was a black Benz who also pulled out of Blockbuster right behind me. It was probably a guy in his early 20s with his girlfriend. I'm not sure what type of Benz it was since I never saw the back, but it had round lights and Xenons, so I'm sure it was a newer model. I think it was one of those with the round lights and then smaller round lights right next to the bigger ones and I think they were connected, didn't see if it was a coupe or not. It looked really nice though.

As soon as I got onto 56 there was a red light. There was a minivan in the right lane and noone in the left lane. The left lane was merging into one about 1000 feet after the light. I turned VSA off and put it in SS. The benz was right behind me. I didn't wanna start of too fast so once I got to about 5 - 10 mph, I floored it. I knew the benz wanted some. Once he passed the minivan, he got into the right lane. He slowly started pulling on me but was still behind maybe half a car, but since the lane was merging there wasn't enough time to pass me. He probably gained about half a car throughout the whole race to 85 or 90 before I shut it down because it was pointless racing in one lane.

Then there was another red light, unfortunatelly only one lane. I didn't wanna peel off so I just floored it at 10 mph again, he was on my ass all the way to 90. I'm sure he would have pulled on me if there were 2 lanes. I wish I would have let him pass just to find out what model it was, but he was REALLY quick.

He flashed his lights real quick before turning onto another street.

I wouldn't be suprised if it was an AMG model. I know I would have lost in a real 2 lane race, but nevertheless, I'm still happy that I could hang in there a little.

 

Sounds like a C Class Benz and I would be surprised if it was an AMG model.

Probably more like a C320 however like you said you guys never really got any open ground to go at it.

I doubt it was the C320. This guy was actually pulling on me. He would have had me if there was another 500 feet. Taking the weight to power ration into consideration, the benz has 40 less horses and weighs about the same as the Acura, plus he had his girlfriend with him.

I thought I had something special with this Acura

If a 215hp benz can beat this Acura, then I really need some mods

The guy was pulling on me as if he had at least another 30 more hp.

But then again, I'm sure the benz get's A LOT more power to the wheels than our Acura.

 

Oh, well did he have 2 doors or 4?

 

No Idea, maybe it was one of the older CLK ones, with 275HP, or maybe he had modded it, who knows, but it was pretty quick.
