First post, need some help
Helllo all,
this is my first post, so bear with me.
I have used search, but need some direct reassurance.
I just installed a CAI and new S/C/D rotors with metal masters pads..
two things..
1) my CAI seems alot loader than I thought it would be...is that hissing at idle normal?
2) my brakes are shimming like nuts. I have not "bedded" them yet, and I was just wondering if this is normal with zinc plated S/C/D/ rotors.
Thanks for all the help you can give with this, and with all the help given in my previous readings!!!

yes both are normal. the CAI is LOUD... and hisses at idle... for life.
you get used to it and learn to love it.
the brakes WILL shimmer at first. and if not broken in properly... can easily be warped. heh
but just give them couple hundred miles

Up next, Axle back exhaust kit......pray for me
BTW...a small reminder of garage safety...when jacking your car, MAKE SURE YOUR E-BRAKE IS FULLY ENGAGED!! I guess mine wasn't this morning, and the rotor (and fromnt end) fell on my foot. Hurts like a bitch...
