First Mods?

What are the first modifications that you would do to a new 2002 CL-S? Is there more gain to be had from handling or performance (additional HP, Torque)? I've read about sway bars, sport springs, intakes, etc. For those who have done any of these, what's the recommended order of preference?

Thanks.

Definately the first thing I'd do is springs. Just figure out how low you want the car and go from there. I went with the comptechs; I'm happy although sometimes I wish I got a lower drop.
Then:
sways/ strut tower bar
Intake/exhaust

3. Any type of quality brake upgrade
4. RES
5. Used set of headers for a song!

Depending on what you want to do your car first.

Looks = Springs
Handling = Sway
Performance = CAI

CAI is a no brainer. Makes your car sound great, and it's relatively cheap. RES is probably a nobrainer since it has a nice bang/buck for performance.

After that it's what suits you.
If you drive aggresively, sways are a logical choice, with springs close behind (if you don't mind the rougher ride).

Take a peek at the CL FAQ and browse the mods section to see what suits you.

I did headers and sways first so i got improvements in performance and handling. Then i upgraded the tires, then intake and exhaust. They have all been excellent upgrades. The only thing if i had it to do over again, is i would have done the intake sooner. It's AWESOME !!

Made custom CAI for 105. including awesome monster cone filter. Increased hp. by 8 and amplifies the already addicting VTEC sound! Would even buy AEM CAI first! Goodluck with your mods of the best car for the money! HeHe!

From a cost perspective, the sways are no-brainers. I changed the wheels too. The longer you wait, the less value for your OEM wheels (because they'll soon be scratched ). Tires are next.

The rest is either power or improved handling. Good luck.
