I wanted to see if my actuator was still workin or not so i got onto a long road and i let the car roll from a stop then floor it in d4 then during the shift from 1st to 2nd my tires chirped and i was like thats never happened before and i floor it all the time is this a once in a while thing or should it happen all the time i would like for it to happen all the time cause its jus nice to know my car can do that w/o being stick

 

I checked my actuator today. I just popped the hood and used the throttle cable. I am not sure the exact RPM, but it did work. A few people have gotten thier cars to chirp in the 1 > 2 shift. I never really tried, but mine has never done it.

 

It happens all the time, but it also depends on the street.

LIQUID_X since you're from Miami...I've been able to make it chirp in 1st..then from 1st to 2nd all the time on Bird Road, Kendall Dr & 8th street on the east side from 826. Now on the other hand I can only make it chirp in 1st on roads like Sunset Dr & Miller Dr. I know 8th Street was just repaved ...and it's where I can get the most chirp.

 

i go to FIU but i live close to dadeland so i am always on galloway sunset kendall and 107th but i havent chirped on any of those streets i raced someone on 8th but no chirp then again that was before it was repaved i might test it out next week

 

Have you checked your tires lately?

I was grousing about the crappy Michelins and how lousy my
traction was recently. Tires chirping all the time, you know like
when you are trying to pull away from an intersection
normally and you get the chirp, its embarrassing.

Anyway, had my car in for its 36,000km service recently and the
mechanic noted "Um, by the way did you know your front tires
are bald?"

Oops. Oh dopey me!

 

in a way its the tires cause they suck but no its not the tires i only have about 5500 miles on the tires
