First Drive in Rain... HLSD Rules !!

Okay so today was seriously the first time I have driven the CL in the rain (yeah yeah I live in So. Cal.) and all I have to say is that LSD is great! Coming off a stop light and trying to make the next turn arrow that just turned green I got on it a little in 1st and 2nd. Yeah the tires were spinning but the car actually hooked up and accelerated. I was pretty impressed .

I always drive in heavy rain. the car grips much better than the auto.

I was driving and the streets were damp. I accelerated to get on the freeway and it felt like the wheels were slipping but the car kept traction too. It was different than I've experienced on my Legend Coupe. I now realize that is the LimSlipDif.
I first thought the tires must be poor on wet to be slipping a little even tho I had traction, but I realize now the car was compensating very well to the conditions and my heavy foot. On my old car I would have had to ease off the gas, on this car it kept the balance of slippage vs. traction. Part of it also is the increased power of this engine, w/o LSD I would have been spinning a lot more or slowing down. Cool.

There is no reason to drop VSA from the 6-speed with HLSD.

If Nissan can do it why not Acura?

OH something else I found while driving around in the rain... the intermittent wipers and how they automatically cycle when you release the brake to start going again! That and I got to use my heated mirrors for the first time... god I love this car!!
