basically driving out of my school and got hit in very rear of my car on the right side and spun a couple of times...

my bumper is gone, rear fender pretty jacked up, but all body damage..no engine...

my question was that how much more would it be to replace my one shattered 01-02 tail light and the other half shattered one, with a 2003 tail lights (instead of just switching them with the 01-02 tail lights)??

do u thikn it's worth it to do this (cuz insurance is going to cover) or should i just not be greedy and settle with the 01-02?

Guess u'd have to call ur local acura dealer about the pricing on the 03 tail lights vs ur stock ones.
But with my experience with accidents and insurance companies, they dont really give u much of a choice in choosing something different besides ur stock OEM replacements cos they'd consider it a cosmetic touch up and THEY dont wanna be responsible in paying for it - even tho its OUR money they're spending in the first place

I'd talk to the manager or whoever's in charge of fixing up ur car about ordering the 03 lights and explaining him that they'd be the same fit and all and u just prefer the new style. If there's a price difference then tell em that u'd be willing to pay for the price difference separately.
