I've been wondering the same thing. Though my steering is pretty much the same as it always has been since I got my car new, it's always been rather devoid of feedback and isn't sharp enough. It's also a rather slow steering rack. Can anything be done about that without spending hundreds if not thousands on mods? In this episode of Mighty Car Mods on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...-CMZmXXo#t=413) they replace a rubber steering linkage bush with an entirely metal one to get rid of "slop" in the steering. I would love to know if anything like this can or is even worth doing. I couldn't find any information on the steering linkage system in the CL after a short google search.

Your steering shouldn't feel loose and sloppy "all of a sudden". You really should get that checked out, as that sounds like something has broken.

The steering is typical Honda. Not much you can do. If the steering feels loose all of a sudden check your engine mounts, front sways(bushings) end links, ball joints & shocks. If your high miles & stock shocks they could be at end of life. Also check your fluid level & power steering pump. The pump could have a bad seal.

Yeah I guess all of the sudden is a little off putting, its just doesnt feel as firm as it used to. I was wondering if anyone made bigger tension rods for this car or anything like that but I guess not.

How many miles are on your car? Like Fuzzy said there are several thing that can lead to sloppy steering. You could put a larger sway bar set on the car but if you have dead shocks and need ball joints or tie rods then you should really do the maintenance first.

You mean Sway bars? Yes, there are swaybar options. By loose did you recently get new tires? What PSI is in your tires? Shocks, original or new? Radius rod bushings, control arm bushings are things that may be worn out.

Check alignment first, that sounds like your toe is off to me if the steering is loose.
