Finally past 600 miles today and .......

Finally got to stomp on it for the first time while breaking in the beast ! All I can say is WOW ! VTEC or not, this baby is nice ! Remember, I got a 4 speed 8 year production run 2004 RL ! XM satelite radio is DA BOMB ! Ride is ultra quite, smooth and the steering took some getting used to.....it has some fancy smacy speed sensing yadayada yada what ever, but don't think granny in her 04 is slow.......................................

run a search on Fabvsix and you'll see the PICTURES ! I can't post on this complicated board ! I can post pictures on all the other auto boards I frequent, but not this one. Other members were kind enough to post them, so run a search...

Most of the original members know of me. I can't BEGIN to tell you the touch and finish, quality trim on the interior, it goes on and ong. Engine is the opposite direction from other V6 models, including the transmission. Under the car, it kinda looks like the "rear wheel" drive set up, but NO thingamagingy between the transmission and rear axle, but it looks like it (the transmission box is quite large). You can really tell its made in Japan. I've sat in the car detailing it for 4 DAYS (ZAINO'D OUT).

The engine: Sound is deep, has a unique rumble and when you step on it, it sure sounds and feels like VTEC. I went from 65 to 100 in NO time and she was dying to keep going. It does suck up the gas though......more than my 03 MDX and certainly my sadly missed CL Type S......

****THIS IS/WAS ACURA'S BEST KEPT SECRET...........now they are going to REDO it....screw it up perhaps, 6 speed, 7 speed, smaller body (confirmed from resource), more AMERICAN looking.....we'll see........

I'm off to Longmont Colorado for a week vacation. I'll check back then......

I just went thru this

http://www.acura.com/promo/rl/protot...p?initsection=

and now I'm wondering if I should sell now at 71k miles or keep on going to my planned 200k,, the new rl should have all the bugs out by the 2006 model ?? If they invoice this at $40k I'm really going to think about it,,, but I bet it comes in at $50k.
