Finally got my car back... after five weeks!

Well.... I picked it up today. Geez.... felt like I was driving a new car - the seating position, shifter, literally the weight of the door.... felt good though.

Clutch actually feels different this time from the previous two times... engages much earlier (must be how it should feel like given a proper install) - one sympton of a poor install is extended clutch travel.

I ended up having to pay for the new pressure-plate ($217), CPS ($66) and a throwout bearing ($33). Acura 101 West covered the labor, tranny oil, CV-boot and the loaner car (2004 TSX).

They wrote 'bad clutch' from Comptech in the service report... geez! I had them edit it to reflect that I gave them NEW Acura parts except for the flywheel (which has a bunch of dings in it... but should be fine).

Other than that... feels good. I just installed the M5 lip-spoiler... which looks awesome in my opinion.

Now onto the next project...

Good to hear you finally got your car back!

Heh, the early engagement on the clutch took a little getting used to... I don't even notice it anymore... I stalled at the dealership heh, I wasn't expecting it

I don't know about this... actually kind of scared now! Deep within me I still don't know if the Comptech unit just has some effect in this thing breaking... or if it is really 100% install - if the dealer was honest with me about whether they truly did or did not use that tool... I'd be more confident.

It does feel different...

You can get the flywheel turned... I just had the pickups machined... To fix all the dings... it is too much work. It looks like there were a hundred nails shot at it
