Fed up...

No, I'm not going to b*tch about the tranny issues our cars have...ANYHOW. I cannot believe it has happened. AGAIN. The sad thing is, I'm always anal as to where I park my car and always leave lots of space for others...Well, this is what happened: Some @$$wipe must've done a lousy parallel park because my passenger-side bumper has just lost a chunk of paint about the size of my palm. And yes, this is the second time that it has happened to me. And yes, this is the second time that the sh*thead took off because there was no car in sight when I noticed the damage...

Well, as I know from the last time this happened, the bumper needs to be repainted. Cost: $580CAD (approx. $400USD).

Anyhow, my car's being fixed up but at the rate I'm going at, it is only a matter of time before this happens...yet again. I'm sure of it. So, a thought came to me...Anyone know of any form of protection I can put on my bumpers (front and back?) I have the 3M clear-plastic on my hood but I'm not sure if it will work on the corners of my bumpers...Are there any bumper guards available for our cars? Any input would be appreciated...thanks!

That sucks bro. I get my car today and I called a local shop and asked about the 3M protection on the bumper. They said they can do it and have done it before, but take that with a grain of salt.

Get an alarm with sensors and set the alarm on high sensativity....At least then your alarm would go off

The funny thing is...both times, it happened when my car was spotlessly clean. Not sure if we have cases of car envy here...but, damn...I'm beginning to think I should get a flame-thrower installed like those available in South Africa...

But, cripes...$800 (both times added up) of bumper repair...So, much for my Comptech Headers fund for now...

Ah...too late. I drove an Oldsmobile Alero for a couple of days while my car was in the shop...All I can say is: Man, I love my CL-S. Besides, my car is plenty fast once I have time to install the Comptech Icebox...
