hey its me again. So i saw this in the RDX forum (b/c it was in the "most active threads" list) and i decided to see what was up here!! HOW FAST HAVE YOU GONE IN YOUR CL?

and the fastest I've gone was 147m.p.h. on the 294 northbound for all you chicago people. it was 3am on my way home and i couldnt resist. I did it just to do it and say i've done it, but honestly i wouldnt do it again even with a wide open road like that night...you just feel the wind all around your car, etc! but it was awesome!! BTW as soon as i topped out (bout 147, i was looking straight mostly!!! lol), i let off the gas and my car jerked back...it was all VTEC carrying me baby!...and the speedometer flew down! WHAT A RUSH!!!!

 

I was racing a 350z the other day on 280 going back into city. We were going about 130 the whole way, I suprisingly was on his tail for the most part until I realized that I should get off the freeway asap. I definetly need to lower my car though b/c it was bouncing to much.

 

Fastest I've gone was 109, haven't had an opportunity to really take it any faster. Next time I'm on a dead highway and it just feels right, ill see how fast i want to take it, i wonder where a stock cl-p would top out. I prob wouldn't go much faster than 120 but thinking of it now, i'm suprized how stable the car felt at 109.

hit 144 in a riad called 144 in Frederick MD.

 

115mph - Indiana Turnpike (headin home from good old Cedar Pt.)
120mph - 290 E Just for the hell of it.
135mph - Rte. 56 towards Sugar Grove.

This has definitely been pondered before...140 in the CLs, 145 in the 04TL with the same crap tranny. Be careful where you chose and be safe though, I just got a ticket a couple weeks ago on the highway at 300AM for 134 in a 65

 

135mph on RT. 80 in a 3-way race between me and my 2 friends. One had an 05' Rsx-s and the other an 07' Maxima

 

the fastest i've ever hit was 135 mph. there's just no need to go anywhere near that fast.

it was on I-10, on the way from Austin to Houston. There were no cars in front or behind me, and the road was pretty much straight as far as I could see. it was only for like 10 seconds...then i slowed down to 70 bc i was scared shitless, lol.

thats about what i have played around with myself. i did it shortly after i got the car, and i dont plan on doing it again. i usually never go over 110 anymore.

 

thats prob one of the worst places to do that. soooo many cops on i-10 comin from atx.

why do you go that way dude? why not go 290? its a much nicer drive. do you live on the west side of houston or something?

 

125mph on PA Turnpike. Got nervous about getting pulled over so I slowed down

i had done a top speed run on the way home from nyc and hit around 143 if i remember correctly. so i figured that was the top speed of the car, but then a week or two ago i was heading down to east hartford with a bunch of people and my buddy had been talking about how his brand new is250 was gonna whoop me so he starts to mess with me, long story short, we raced slowed down raced slowed down ect. the whole way then at the end of one of the races when i kept on it i look at the speedo and it reads just over 150. needless to say i slowed down but we made some good time, and in case you were wondering i did beat the is250 everytime with 4 people in my car. theyre definatly not slow tho.

EDIT: it was late at night as well and there was no1 on the road the whole way. almost left that part out

 

and fuel cutoff kicked in, so probably 149.
