the guy swears it's bone stock...i know better couldnt get by him until the top of third.... :wow: ...he had his girl with him and they were loving it...
he kept saying i have to keep my warranty .and he would show me if i wanted to look...hell you cant see inside an engine...i told him my car was leased , headers,intake,new engine and the dealer installed it...he was like no way....good kid much fun....oh ya track first thing tomorrow moring....13's here i come...stay tuned

Maybe you just met a GT owner who knew how to drive... and you never have before. Didn't PullT say he ran a 13.9 in a Mustang, bone stock?

Besides, if you looked at the motor, you would have seen if he had headers on it. If he had exhaust you would have heard it. If he had aftermarket intake you would have seen it. The only thing he could have done without you noticing easily was switch out the final drive ratio... Unless you're suggesting he had racing cams or something... maybe advanced his timing or had pulleys... <shrug>

But yeah, any intake/headers/exhaust, and it would have been *obvious* that he was trying to let his mustang breathe a bit...

Yup. 00 5 speed. It would take some good driving to get by typeR though with what he is running. Most likely, the guy had at least some minor mods.

 

my friend has a 2001 mustand gt with borla exhaust and k@n cold air intake and his best was 13.98 he just got 3.73s in the rear so i guess will see how he does now but stock no better than 14.2

 

ill tell you what, im not discounting the ability for a bone stock to go 13.9 in the cold dry weather(after seeing what a difference weather made for me) it wascold this night,and i notice my car, when at the track, gets faster as i get 4-5 runs in close succession ,where as, i was cruising around at low rpms before this encounter...this is the truth, i can goto the track run a 14.5 first run and 10 runs later get it down to a 14.0...im not saying it's all the car getting faster, some is that I'm driving better...but ,there's no dening,the car gets faster after a few WOT passes....
