Boost cranked way up, he is on his 3rd tranny, tons of custom mods, and yes, he runs very low 12's.

Dude, I have no idea, all I know is I don't lie on this forum and I witnessed this. I know he has replaced a lot of parts and has definitely put a lot of work in this car.

Guy, I'm sure you're not lying...I was just thinking that's probably not too good for his car. Does he mainly use his car at the track? From what I know, FWD cars can only handle so much power to the wheels, after that they run into a lot of problems. Sorry, didn't mean to make it seem like I thought you were lying or anything.

My friends have a GSX and Galant Vr-4. They run 12s all day...I'll tell you this...the trannys suck!!! My friend with the VR-4 is on his 3rd tranny....you can get custom CV joints that handle the power..
The guy is probably running a front mount intercooler, upgraded turbo (16g), MSD and 3" exhaust...he also probably runs some slicks at the track to get traction.
My friends don't need it...AWD!!! 1.7 60' times...and they're pushing around 400hp..

This guy is one of my good friends and he will prove it. everytime we race (my type-s vs. his stang), he beats me. Even when i get a jump on him, he catches up and starts taking of.

Don't even get me started on freeway speeds. We were both at about 90 and both downshifted into 3rd gear (me in SS and him in stick). I came close to holding until 4th gear. when we have to switch to 4th....he is still chilling in 3rd. His 3rd goes to almost 130mph. I took my car up to 140 and he was still taking off on me.

Eclipse23,

i dont think i can beat your car since you got:
01' Acura CL Type-S - 260 hp, 500 rice power
Piaa 19169 Bulbs+ 100 rice power
Valentine1 Pig Detector
CompTech Exhaust+5 hp, farting noise+400 rice power
Xephyr Cold Air Intake+10 hp, 300 rice power
Founding Member of the NO SCRATCHED RIMS CLUB

that brings you up to 1300 rice power...i only have 0...wait let me put some more fog lights on, then we will race...

No, you just have the bastard overlooked POS car that everyone laughs at. You are not even smart enough to get a Camaro which at least looks better. Dude, if you have an older model Mustang (89) I would at least give you some props but your just another fag in a boxy POS mustang. When you get a real job, real money, come buy a real car and visit back soon

Eclipse23. What is that you do for a living?
yes the camaro SS is faster and looks a little better, but breaks all the time. thus the mustang. as for laughing, the only thing i laugh at is when i see people with no balls to drive a RWD buying a faster "grandma car". If you want safety and luxury don't talk all the shit about racing....you need to spent at least $1000 to get it to catch up to me, so go and get educated, and say something smart soon.

I believe that during that time the Plymouth Laser, Mitsubishi Eclipse, and Eagle Talon shared similar platforms. Some of which were AWD. This type of AWD + turbo is making me want a WRX.

Hmmm...I think after a year..the insurance comps us for not getting a muscle car. As for a grandma car, yeah a grandma COULD drive this car, but I see GRANDMAs driving MUSTANGS all the time...

I think soopa is the only one getting the point here. If we wanted muscle cars, for the money we spent we could have bought a cobra or a camero SS. Instead, we decided to go with something thats fast and LUXURIOUS!!!

wtf is the big deel?!?! the point is not the looks of this car(i hope not!)...the point is that this lil mit's pulls low 12's. the point was that anyone could spend 4-5 g's on a good used car and spend some time and money and make it beat a 2001 CL-S, WRX, A4, 328 and so on(w/ no mods)....will i pick up a chick on our date with this car, hell no!! but will i try to beat this rice looking car at the strip or the red light?? you better belive it! will i win? not if he runs low 12's.....i think thats the point, period!
