I currently own a 2003 TL:S and it turns out that my brother wants one too, almost. He's more interested in the CL:S (auto only). I saw a couple CL:S's (2001's) on AutoTrader for about 17k with about 33k miles. Is this a fair price? Kelly's blue book lists the car for about 18.5k so I'm wondering why the CL:S's are going so low. I've seen some with 40k miles for as low as 15k. If any of you have bought a used CL:S I'd be interested in knowing how much you purchased the car for and how many miles it had. All thoughts are appreciated.

 

Main reasons - the CL was not that popular, and the tranny issue IMO.

01s are almost 5 years old, factory warranty is almost up.

I have an 2003 6 speed/Navi CLS, purchased used 10 months ago for $24,750 with 7500 miles. was happy with the price since new ones a year earlier went for $32-33k. Now has 16k miles, and I still love it.

I bought a used 01 CL S, the works, 31k miles, paid 18 flat, a good deal IMO

 

I got an 02 CL with 72K miles for 13,000 with warranty til 100,000

Sold my 2001 CL-S for $13,500 with 89,000 miles on the odo in Nov 2004. Transferred the remainder of the Acura Care extended warranty too. Car was in immaculate shape (parked about 2 miles from other cars to avoid the dings).

bought a brand new 03' CL-S 6spd w/ navi for $27K 7 months ago.

 

good deal i just bought an 01 cl-s w/49k one owner lease trade in for 18200
