Failure Prone Years
While reading inside of my EGR service post, I came across an interesting question. I did a lil search and did not come up with much info. But the question is- Are the year models of the CL (excluding 6MT) stonger than each other in terms of tranny failure. Or is it just a common problem for all CL's except the MT. I am really going crazy, because I am scared shitless to even drive my car. I have 130K on it but I am under a warranty from Carmax until 138K and the tranny was replaced at 113k so it is still under that 3yr 30000mile warranty. I really wanted a lil constuctive insight into a good decision or more information about what CL fail and if newer tranny replacement mean anything. Please consider I am in college and still have Law School in a year and really cannot afford more than a 350 car note.
Thanks for any help.

No, even 03's have had tranny failures. the 5 A/T of course. but it seems the majority are 01-02's
The 04 TL's even have had problems.

Thats teh answer i was looking for chopper- thanks to both of your responses though. So it really deosnt matter which Honda car I get- the tranny is going down unless its a manual. I knwo this will sound akward. But what did they devise in there Mt trannies that keeps them from flunking out?
components of the AT were/are flawed = (potential) tranny failure
Manual doesn't have these parts = no tranny failure
past 100K for any car there will be engine/tranny issues. my lexus es300 tranny crapped out on me at 120k while my 92 acura legend is at 195 and still on the first tranny. go figure?
