Factory Alarm Auto-off??

Just a thought. Does the factory alarm automatically turn-off and rearm itself after going off for a period of time? I was thinking about this because I have a shock sensor and I wouldn't be able to hear it when I'm in the office. We've had some thunderstorms here recently and sometimes my alarm will go off from the thunder.

It turns off and rearms after 2 minutes.
