Exhaust Lost its Sound?

I just installed my greddy evo 2' about 3 weeks ago, after like 5 days of breaking in they had a real nice purr and sound with a bit of a rumble... but yesterday I turned her on and it was gone, no more low tone or deep growl and it could barley be fealt or heard, it was the wierdest thing, and i thought it might go away in a day or so, but it didnt today either, what has happened, the noise is gone? Also, my transmission feels like its shifting harder in low gears, its an 03 auto with 20 k miles.... not sure if it means anything....

i have the greddy evo2 and as time passed the sound seemed to decrease with mine as well. i think two factors contributed to this, one was the fact that my ears were just more used to the sound and two was the fact that after break in i really think that the exhaust loses some of it's decibels due to the fact that your pipes begin to get dirty. still love the tone though so i think there might be something wrong with yours like a leak or loose gasket because mine still is noticeable.

Well thanks so far for the input, yeh its like the sound and rumble after a month are gone, but ive noticed somthing.... I have the auto cl, when I would push the gas lightly and it would go from 1st to 3rd it would have a real nice rumble.... now it seems the gears are all messed up and change quicker so theres no time for the exhaust to breathe and rumble.... so now all of that gone, it just sounds like air..... Im really not that smart at cars (this bieng my first real 1) what are the monthly maintences you have to perform on the CL, im thinking maybe the transmission fluid or oil or somthing is gone.... so if anyone could guide me on how often i need to change or what i should od monthly to keep the car in good condition i will, could it be that I maybe filled up with ARCO gas and thats why i lost sound... heh I dunno let me know, Thanks!
