will the 01'CL comptech exhaust fit a 02'CL-s?? thinking about changing my exhaust to HKS dragger

I'm confused. You want to know if the '01 Comptech will fit an '02 but you have an '03

umm....IMO, the HKS takes away from the CL's "classy/luxurious" look....better off with the comptechs, they look perfect on the car....and sound good at high RPM's

 

Nope...they both have roughly the same loudness...just different type of sounds. The dragers produce more bass while the CTs have a higher sound.

 

now don't know which one to get? comptech or HKS?

 

Its a matter of price.........they both sound the same and they both give a whopping 2-3 HP for around $600

i definetely dont agree with this. I have comptech exhausts on my accordv6 and i think it is deeper than the HKS super draggers that i just installed on my friends accord v6 last night.
The HKS have a bit higher tone than the Comptech IMHO.


btw i am having slight fitment problems. The right side is WAY to high, the metal hangers dont seem to be in the right position. I am gonna have to head to an auto parts place or honda dealer to see if i can get a rubber hanger that hangs about 3/4 inch lower.

BTW there is a guy in accordv6.com that is selling the HKS local (san gabriel, ca)for 315 and like 330 shipped. He only has 10 tho. check the forsale of general forum.
He's actually on this forum too blmxjx or something i think is his SN. Check the black market.

 

The CTs on a TL-P don't sound as loud as on a S...so I would think that the CTs would sound slightly different on an Accord as opposed to a CL. Me and my friend did a side by side comparasion, CL to CL...his CTs and my Dragers...and the conclusion by me, my friend, and my other two friends is that the Dragers have a deeper bass to it.

 

Bumping this thread from the dead cause I have a question. Recently found a set of HKS super draggers, I current have the comptech axelbacks and I was wonder whats the sound difference? Minimal?

yea, I saw that on youtube already but that one has no mid muff so I dunno if I can judge from that video. Love my comptechs, no drone on the freeway and they sound really good but I think I want something a bit more aggressive.

I love my comptechs too but I just wanted something a bit more aggressive but I hate highway drone, thats why I like the comptechs but I did end up pulling the trigger on the super draggers and I think I will have time this weekend to put them on. I'll let you guys know how I feel about them

How do they sound?

 

they have a nice deep tone to them.

 

Came back after a test drive tonight. They were more pronounced, more drone on the freeway (but bareable) and bottom line louder. You can bearly hear the comptechs on the freeway and with the HKS, you wont forget. Dont have to turn the music up and you can still carry conversation without raising your voice. They are probably what comptechs with the mid muffler removed sounds like. I think I have to get used to them after the "tranquil" comptechs but i'll definately sell these first before the comptechs.

As for looks, the tips look good. I though the comptechs were a bit tiny in our openings and these fill them nicely without being ricey. Kinda like seeing the nismo exhaust on a G35.
