Exhaust And Cool Air Intake

I Have Always Wanted To Know If By Installing Cool Air Intake And Exhaust Will Eat More Gas In Your Car. Also, How Many Miles Should A 2001 Acura Cl-s Run On A Full Tank Of Gas ?

Uhh, better flow = better gas mileage (b/c fuel burns more efficiently with increase oxygen).

My CAI + Headers improved my gas mileage by +2-4mpg

I get 310-330miles to a tank and I don't exactly drive like a grandma.

Do a search about gas milage. It will change depending on ho much you drive on city roads. I get about 230 to 250 a tank because I'm in Manhattan almost everyday. If I'm on the highway, bump that up to about 400. It's rediculous. I did see a small increase after I installed my headers.

cai and headers should improve gas mileage if anything.

and I get around 230-250 miles per tank in my cls, but I drive like Dale Earnhardt.

well if he wasn't dead.

then, the way he would probaby be driving if he wasn't dead is the way I drive now (if he was still around and driving fast like he used to). except that maybe he didn't drive so fast on the roads since he got to drive really fast on the racetrack. so the way I drive on the road is similar to how Dale Earnhardt used to drive on the racetrack before he died. Except he only drove in circles, I drive all over. And I get bad gas mileage.

YOU WILL NEVER BELIEVE HOW MUCH GAS MILEAGE I GET FOR MY CAR. AROUND 160-180 IN BROOKLYN,NY. I ALWAYS THOUGHT THERE WAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH THAT. I HAVE ALREADY CHANGED BOTH OXYGEN SENSORS, AIR FILTER, OIL CHANGE AND STILL 160 FOR A WHOLE TANK.

WHICH CAI,header, and exhaust would you recomendf?

My friend told me opposite of what your telling me, i guess he does not know anything. He told me that you waste more gas by installing cool air intake and makes your car more noisy which makes it feel unpleasent inside.

Although CAI and headers will provide better air flow and thus better gas mileage it is the tendency of the driver, who has just modified his car to make more hp, to have a heavier foot. So in this manner it is possible to get worse gas mileage. I know I do b/c I consistently rev the engine out.

Yeah, also it will make the car louder, unless you go with the Comptech. You don't have all of that sound deadning crap. It will really be loud on VTEC...loud enough to scare passengers in the car!
