Exhaust component questions - suggestions requested.
Hey guys. My buddy Dave aka ysr72champ has a Sundance Gold '01 CL-S 5spd Auto and just recently purchased Tein SS coilovers and he also picked up a set of 19" Chrome Axis Hagens off a member on here for his car. He is now about to pick up some exhaust components i.e. headers and catback system. The parts he is thinking about purchasing are the OBX headers (for cost savings over the Comptech) and he is also looking at the Neuspeed catback system.
The questions I have are:
1 - Does anyone own or have any experience with either product?
2 - What are your opinions on the items I've mentioned?
Thanks in advance,
-Tim

Also, for the OBX, you might want to do a search. These have been discussed a thousand times. Basically, you get what you pay for in quality.

Thanks for the tip. I found a lot of posts about people's dissatisfaction with the OBX ie cracking and the following post kinda sums it up.

I have the OBX headers... got them for like $300 during the initial run in 2002. They installed no problems and have been on the car since Summer 2002 with zero problems what-so-ever.
With that said, if I could do it again I'd go with the Comptech Headers to go along with the CT exhausts. Like I said, zero problems with the OBX, however, just the piece of mind with the Comptech's is worth the extra money.....
