Search my friend has your answer...

In short the greddy has a tad louder, some say its deeper as well....

My self I have the comptech catback and I love the way it is... One thing about the greddy which turned me off was the tips... to big for my taste....

Power wise both are similar expect 5 hp tops if your not FI...

greddy is more bold and defined while comptech is just more of a growl

Greddy Evo Ii

I have the greddy evo 2 on my car. The first thing that really turned me off about the exhaust were definitely the tips. They looked way too big on the car. But after awhile, I started to get used to them. I was only interested in getting a full stainless steel cat back exhaust. The only ones that I could have gotten were comptech, greddy, tanabe and neuspeed. I was thinking of getting the comptech cat back but then the 1G price tag really turned me off. The sound was pretty good but i was looking for the G35 growl which the comptech did not sound at all. I also heard that the comptech has an annoying and constant highway growl. I wanted to get an exhaust that was loud when you WOT but i also wanted it to be quiet when I did not step on the car. Also the tips on the comptech exhausts were way too small for me. I wanted to get something a bit bigger. Then I saw an Apexi Ws II exhaust which i thought had the best looking tips but then it was not full stainless steel. Then I saw Tanabe which looked pretty good but the company is not that popular. Obviously Greddy seemed like the only company that I can trust because everyone knows their products. So I heard a few clips on the forum and the next day I got a sweet deal at morepowerracing.com for $805 shipped to my house. Once I put the exhausts on my car, I instantly loveeeeeed the sound. It is as close as you can get to the G35 exhaust note but its a bit deeper and more noticeable. It almost sounds like a motorcycle exhaust before 3K RPM. It is pretty loud at idle when the weather is really cold. BUt after the car warms up and you get past 3 K RPM, the car almost seems quieter than stock. OBviously when you hit VTEC, it complements the sound of the engine very well. The greddy's do not have that annoying highway drone at all. I could not be happier with my purchase. I hope that this helped anyone looking to buy an exhaust
