I have also a 2002 f250 super duty pickup,and i went to the muffler shop next to my house and he wanted to use a vortech muffler .what the hell kind of muffler is it????? and 295.00 to do the job with 3inch pipes and tips dual is that a good price and muffler?

 

Find out how much of that is labor cost. Ive never heard of that muffler but it does sound a little expensive

 

Ive heard of vortech but I think it was for a supercharger application for a mustang.

I know exactly what it is. Meinekie used it when they did the first exhaust on my friend's Suburban w\ 454. Its Vortex, not Vortech. Made by Cherry Bomb. They did his, Single 3in with muffler for 200.

It sounded ok on his 454 but what he has now sounds a hell of alot better. Look into Hooker Maxflo mufflers, Jegs has them. They sound REALLY mean and are only like 60$ a muffler.

the 2 1\2in is 57.99, if your going dual you won't want more than 2 1\2in I dont think .. he went true dual 3in straight back from the headers but he was running a built 454 w\ Whipple Supercharger .. so he needed the flow.

went back to the guy today and he said thats a good muffler and the only one he had, i was thinking of a borla muffler if it is not to expensive.

 

vin a votech muffler actualy sounds really good. my friend gorge had one on his taho it sounded mean as hell
