Exhaust
Isn't there anything a custom shop can do to the exahust, without replacing the stock mufflers and tips, to make it sound a little nicer for pretty cheap. My friend with a g35 just got his premuffler replaced with 18 inch glasspak, and it gives it a nice burble under 2k.

I dont know much at all about exhausts, if anything, but I figured if I brought it to a custom exhaust shop, they could find away to increase the decibel level and a deeper tone for not to much money. I may go to some exhaust shop and see what they say.
Search for Magnaflow. I know people that have put them on and they are available at custom exhaust shops. The downside is you wont really know what it sounds like until they hook it all up. Perhaps have them bolt it together in case you hate it.

Your boys G35 is a different beast...that engine is nothing like ours...it has GOBS of torque...so he has a few ft lbs to lose...we don't. That's why comptech/HKS, etc is so expensive...they do research to back up the shit they make...cutting up your pipes to add a cherry bomb is tanamount to cutting a wedge from your exhaust to get that 'bubble-bee in a tin can' sound.
Not being an ass Champ, but if it was as easy as you'd like it to be...we'd all be in the muffler business.

Bigman I like the sounds of those magnaflows. How much are they gonna cost me at a shop, and will I lose torque and low end power with them?
