Evolution of a CL

Hey guys, I was just wondering if you guys thought that this is an OK idea or would it be cheezy if I did it.....See when I went to get my 1st car my dad took me to Acur b/c that's what my sister got for her first car(3.5RL). The sales person tired selling me and Integra and I wasn't having nething to do with that car(too small for me). Soo I moved up to the CL-S. But the sales person told my dad that he thought it would be too much "car" for me, so i got the regular CL . so now that i've had my car for 7mths i've started to customize it.....and i wanted your guy's oppinion that if after i'm done customizing my car and i beat a CL-S that it would be OK to put CL-S badges on my car....please give me all your input on this subject.....thanks TOM

If you worry all your life about what other people say or think about your car you will never get any inner satisfaction. Do you what you think is right and looks best. It's your can and no one elses

hey i didnt want to sell my truck

so instead of buying a cls i got a 1st gen.

aren't they cute together?

i do wish i picked up a 98 cuz they got 5more hp and torque, but ohwell. my point is that doesn't stop me from trying. i will mod the shit out of it until i save up for engine swap. and type s badges?? screw it. they will just get stolen and are a wast eof ur money. if i was u i would debagde ur car and just put an aftermarket "A" on ur trunk.

IMO, I would never falsely badge a car, because it's stupid and ricey.

Just because someone modded a Civic EX to be as fast as a Type R doesn't mean it's a type R.

But if people with CL-S's ask you if it's a type S, just say "race, and let's find out"

Well I have a CLP with mods too, like I said, I ran my frined's TLS for 6 runs, and i won 5.... we are like about the same now.... but the point is, even my car is about the same power as the stock TypeS, I will still not put the TypeS thing on the back.... Cuz TypeS is TypeS, CLP is CLP, I dun wanna be some wannabe! Plus, feel proud of the car.... CLS are always faster when they have the same mods... so why worry, we are the same family.... just dun be some wannabe.... just like you will laught when you see some Civic put TypeR or Integra put TypeR and think they really are TypeR, you would laught at them too? Same thing to TypeS!

What make you feel better
1. a CLP that is faster than a CLS
or
2. a CLS look-a-like that is faster than CLS.

I would take 1 over 2 anytime.

my dad recommended that after I mod the hell out of the car, I should place a "Type R" sticker next to my 3.2 CL badge! WTF?!

if i were you, i wouldn't add the -S badge...in fact, i'd remove EVERY badge on the trunk for the clean and sleeper effect (and if your car is faster than a type s, that's even better)

what kinda modification do you have on your car? It seems pretty fast to beat the TL-S. Also, what kinda modification did the TL-S have? Let me know?

Thanks,

the only time i'd see it would be acceptable to badge a type-R or type-S on another car, would be if they dropped the respective engine in their car. it would make sense to me if a civic has a type R badge, only if it had the type R engine in it.

but other than that, i wouldnt put a type S on something that wasnt purchased as a type S. but go for the sleeper look! i love my clean ass!
